Morgan’s Head is a rock formation in Santa Catalina that lives up to the stories of English pirates who used these islands as a place of passage or as a station to attack Spanish ships in some periods of the 17th and 18th centuries. Morgan is one of the most remembered despite his short stay, it is even thought that his treasure is hidden in some place on the islands. You can walk along the side of Santa Catalina, pass through Fort Bay beach and follow the path, from here there is an unparalleled view and if you prefer you can sniff around from the beach. The rock formation is best seen from the sea, on a boat ride.
